Senior Accountant

The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and maintaining accurate accounting systems. This role demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records in accounting software.
• Prepare and post journal entries for transactions.
• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor statements, and ledgers.
• Prepare GST, TDS, and other tax returns in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Assist in payroll processing and related statutory deductions.
• Support in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
• Maintain proper documentation for all accounting records.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting / Finance (B.Com, M.Com, or CA Inter preferred).
• Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Indian tax laws (GST, TDS, etc.).
• Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Odoo, SAP & Tally etc.).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Work Environment

• Office-based work with occasional external meetings for audits or banking.
• Standard office hours, with extra time during audits or month-end closing.
