Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Candidate should be proficient in Quality at least Level II in UT, RT, DP and MPI.
Prepare FQAP, FWS, WPS, HPS & other QA documents and formats in consultation with Engineering Consultant and as per Tech Spec.
Review QAP of manufacturer.
Issue QA documents to the vendors.
Check and approve welder qualifications
Be responsible for the inspection and testing of incoming materials and equipment, and take corrective action for non-conformities.
Be responsible for getting the inspections done through owners engineers or 3rd party by coordinating with the inspection calls of the vendors.
Carry out daily Quality inspections at site and periodic audits at the site.
Interpret welding defects and implement corrective actions. Shall strive to keep weld defects below 2% and avoid rework.
Shall coordinate / witness hydro-tests and other NDTs during erection.

Preferred candidate profile

Total Experience of 15 years or more in thermal plants
Minimum 7 years in Quality Control in large Power Project preferably 600 MW or higher size
