Software Development Engineer II (Frontend)

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Frontend Development: Design, develop, and maintain responsive, high-quality web applications using React.js and related modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Code Quality & Standards: Write clean, reusable, and testable code following best practices and maintain high standards of software engineering.
• UI/UX Collaboration: Work closely with designers and product teams to translate wireframes and prototypes into functional user interfaces.
• Performance Optimization: Ensure applications are optimized for speed, scalability, and responsiveness across devices and browsers.
• Feature Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of modules and features, from design to production deployment.
• Mentorship & Collaboration: Collaborate with other engineers, review code contributions, and provide constructive feedback to maintain a strong technical culture.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with emerging frontend technologies and proactively propose improvements to enhance product and development processes.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in frontend development with a strong focus on React.js.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3 with a solid understanding of modern web standards.
• Hands-on experience with state management libraries such as Redux, Recoil, or Context API.
• Proficiency in frontend build tools and workflows (Webpack, Babel, npm, Yarn).
• Experience in consuming RESTful APIs and working with asynchronous data handling.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or similar).
• Strong understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility issues.
• Solid grasp of version control systems (Git/GitHub/GitLab).
• Ability to work in an agile environment, managing multiple priorities while delivering high-quality code.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  

Good To Have (Preferred Skills)

• Experience with TypeScript for building scalable frontend applications.
• Exposure to Next.js or other server-side rendering frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated builds and deployments.
• Knowledge of design systems and component-driven development.
• Prior experience in startups or product-based companies
