Scrum Master

As a Scrum Master based in Perth, you will be responsible for facilitating Agile ceremonies for various distributed streams, including technical product delivery and DevOps onsite and offshore. This includes conducting sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives, sprint reviews/showcases, and release planning. Your role will involve encouraging collaboration and actively seeking opportunities to enhance collaboration between distributed teams. You will proactively plan and collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of services for designated products and projects. Additionally, you will assist with internal and external communication by transparently sharing information, particularly related to historical team metrics, progress towards sprint and release goals, and team capacity. You will also manage release plans, iteration plans, and status reporting for designated projects and help the team make appropriate commitments to tasks. In this position, you will proactively identify and remove blockers, limit work in progress, and prevent distractions. You will facilitate frequent retrospectives, sharing metrics to identify and implement improvements. Leading agile projects from initial project backlog creation and planning activities through demonstration and release deployment will be part of your responsibilities, with accountability for the team's productivity throughout all project phases. You will also take the lead in identifying risks and issues and conducting mitigation activities with the project team, escalating them professionally when necessary. It will be crucial for you to ensure timely and accurate communication and distribution of project information to all relevant team members and stakeholders. As a Scrum Master, you will identify differences in understanding and issues as they arise, bringing them to the team for resolution or escalating them to management if required. You will manage sprints to maintain order, ensure processes are followed, and delivery priorities are accurate and met on time. Collaborating with Product Owners, you will ensure that testing and feedback are completed promptly and align with Sprint timelines. Your role will involve facilitating cross-functional collaboration, encouraging self-management, training, mentoring, coaching, and helping establish fit-for-purpose agile delivery models and behaviors.
