SCM head cum operation

Role Overview:

The SCM Head cum Operations is responsible for overseeing end-to-end supply chain, manufacturing operations, logistics, warehousing and distribution. The role ensures cost-effective, efficient, and high-quality production and supply of beverages while aligning with the organizations strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Management:

• Design and implement supply chain strategies aligned with business goals.
• Ensure seamless coordination between production, warehousing and distribution.
• Drive demand and supply planning to minimize stock-outs and excess inventory.
• Optimize supply chain costs while maintaining high service levels.

Operations Management:

• Lead plant operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, and efficiency benchmarks.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, utilities, and continuous improvement projects.
• Implement lean manufacturing, TPM, and Kaizen practices for operational excellence.
• Monitor production KPIs (yield, OEE, downtime, wastage).

Stores & Warehouse Management:

• Lead and supervise all store operations for raw materials, packaging materials, engineering spares, and consumables.
• Oversee warehouse operations for finished goods storage and dispatch.
• Implement strong inventory control practices (FIFO/FEFO, stock audits, cycle counts).
• Ensure minimal stock-outs, pilferage, and damages.
• Maintain hygiene, 5S, and safety standards in store and warehouse.

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams across SCM and Operations.
• Build a performance-driven culture with accountability and ownership.
• Develop succession planning and capability-building initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to FSSAI, ISO, HACCP, and other regulatory standards.

Quality & Compliance:

• Support quality assurance team in ensuring compliance with FSSAI and other regulatory norms.
• Monitor hygiene, GMP, and SOP adherence across production and warehouse areas.
• Ensure minimal deviations and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of

  SCM, plant operations and logistics

  in FMCG/beverage industry.
• Proven expertise in

  production planning, demand forecasting, and cost optimization

  .
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Hands-on experience with

  ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / MS Dynamics)

  .

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in

  Engineering / Supply Chain / Operations / MBA

  .

• 15+ years

  of experience in supply chain and plant operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience in

  beverage / FMCG manufacturing

  is mandatory.
