Job Description

Role Overview: As a Team Lead of scientific editors, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the team to ensure the smooth execution of editorial tasks. This includes planning and allocating daily tasks, monitoring resource utilization, conducting daily team huddles, setting performance goals, conducting appraisal reviews, and identifying training needs. Key Responsibilities: - Lead a team of scientific editors to ensure efficient execution of editorial tasks - Plan and allocate daily tasks using a task tracker and monitor resource utilization - Conduct daily team huddles to address challenges and provide support - Set performance goals, conduct appraisal reviews, and identify training needs - Guide the team on client-specific requirements and quality standards for copyediting - Review content for writing quality, scientific accuracy, and client-appropriate style - Standardize proofreading and editing processes across deliverables - Attend client meetings to support project planning and execution - Serve as the point of contact for client communications with the offshore team - Create and implement training plans for new hires, train associates on client brands, deliverables, and editorial processes - Notify the team of process changes, send timely reminders for required actions, and evaluate editor tests - Act as a backup offshore editor during client launches Qualifications Required: - Masters degree in Life Sciences, English, Communications, or related field - 7+ years of experience in scientific editing or medical writing, with at least 2 years in a lead role - Strong understanding of scientific terminology and editorial standards - Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills - Proficiency in editorial tools and platforms (e.g., Veeva, MS Office) - Excellent written and spoken English skills - Strong attention to detail and accuracy - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat - Familiarity with AMA Manual of Style and client-specific style guides - Ability to work under tight timelines and in a collaborative team environment - Strong communication skills (written and verbal) - Ability to guide and mentor team members - Proven track record of delivering high-quality, error-free documents (Note: Nice to have qualifications and any additional details about the company were not included in the provided job description.),
