Job Description

We are looking for a Scientific Assistant with a background in Applied Physics or Materials Science to support experimental research, materials development, and characterization for advanced energy, plasma, and environmental technology projects. The role involves hands-on laboratory work, materials processing, testing, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in synthesis, processing, and modification of materials (powders, thin films, coatings, composites, carbon-based materials).
  • Support research in:
  • Plasma–materials interaction
  • Carbon materials (carbon black, graphene-like structures, biochar)
  • Catalysts and functional materials for energy and environmental applications
  • Perform materials characterization using techniques such as:
  • XRD, SEM, EDS, FTIR, Raman, UV–Vis (as available)
  • Assist in sample preparation, surface treatment, and post-processing.
  • Support experimental setups involving plasma reactors, thermal systems, and vacuum environments.
  • Analyze experimental data and correlate structure–property–performance relationships.
  • Maintain laboratory records, SOPs, and safety compliance.
  • Contribute to technical reports, research publications, and patent documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in:
  • Materials Science / Materials Engineering
  • Applied Physics / Engineering Physics
  • Nanotechnology / Metallurgy (relevant specialization)
  • Strong fundamentals in:
  • Solid-state physics
  • Materials thermodynamics and kinetics
  • Structure–property relationships

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience with materials synthesis or characterization labs.
  • Knowledge of thin films, nanomaterials, ceramics, polymers, or carbon materials.
  • Familiarity with plasma processing, CVD, pyrolysis, or thermal treatments.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
