Scaffolding Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a certified and experienced Scaffold Supervisor to oversee, inspect, and certify all scaffolding-related work at our Mumbai site. The ideal candidate must hold a valid OSHA 29 CFR Subpart L1926.454 certification and possess hands-on experience with scaffold erection, dismantling, inspection, and compliance with company safety and hygiene standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure safe erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolds as per approved standards.

• Conduct visual inspection and certification of scaffolding structures before use and tag appropriately (Green/Yellow/Red).

• Assist and guide contractors during scaffold construction to ensure safety compliance.

• Perform inspection of lifting tools, hand and power tools, safety belts, and scaffolding materials.

• Maintain scaffolding register and ensure all documentation is up to date in both hard copy and electronic formats.

• Submit necessary inspection reports and certifications as per company protocol.

• Coordinate with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) teams and project teams to ensure ongoing safety and regulatory compliance.

• Comply with all company hygiene and safety norms.

Candidate Requirements:

• Certified Competent Person in Scaffolding as per OSHA 29 CFR Subpart L1926.454.

• Additional certification or proven experience in lifting tool inspection, safety equipment handling, and construction safety preferred.

• Proficient in MS Excel for maintaining inspection records and scaffolding data.

• Strong understanding of scaffolding design, load management, and hazard identification.

• Minimum 5 years of scaffolding supervision experience in construction or industrial work.

Additional Competencies (Preferred):

• Training or certification in related safety inspection disciplines.

• Basic understanding of occupational hygiene requirements.

• Experience in working with third-party contractors and multinational teams.
