SAS Developer
We are seeking an experienced SAS Developer with a strong foundation in SAS programming, including SAS EG (Enterprise Guide) and SAS Viya, to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for data manipulation, reporting, and visualization, leveraging various SAS technologies and tools. The role demands a strong technical skill set in SAS, excellent analytical abilities, and the ability to communicate insights effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- SAS Programming & Development: Write, test, and maintain SAS code using SAS Base, SAS Macros, and SAS SQL. Use SAS Enterprise Guide (EG) for creating reusable workflows and automating data processing tasks. Utilize SAS Viya for advanced analytics and cloud-based processing.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Use SAS tools like SAS Viya, SAS Visual Analytics, and SAS EG to create impactful reports, dashboards, and visualizations that support business decision-making. Analyze large datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and actionable insights.
- Data Transformation & ETL: Handle data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes efficiently. Ensure that data is properly cleaned, validated, and transformed into usable formats for analysis.
- Modeling & Statistical Analysis: Apply statistical methods and data models using SAS/STAT, SAS Viya, and SAS/ETS to solve business problems and generate actionable insights.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work with business teams, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, share insights, and deliver data solutions. Provide regular updates on project progress and results.
- Optimization & Performance Tuning: Optimize and fine-tune SAS programs, including SAS Viya and SAS EG workflows, to ensure fast processing times and scalable solutions.
- Documentation & Best Practices: Maintain thorough documentation of SAS programs, reports, and processes. Follow coding best practices, version control, and quality standards to ensure reliable outputs.
- Continuous Learning & Improvement: Stay updated with new SAS tools and technologies. Proactively explore new methods and techniques to enhance data processing, analysis, and reporting.
Required Skills & Experience:
- SAS Programming: Proficient in SAS Base, SAS EG (Enterprise Guide), and SAS Viya for data analysis, transformation, and visualization. Strong experience with SAS SQL and SAS Macros.
- Data Manipulation & ETL: Expertise in data transformation and manipulation, including data cleaning and extraction from relational databases. Experience in working with large datasets in SAS.
- Statistical & Predictive Modeling: Knowledge of statistical analysis using SAS/STAT, SAS/ETS, and machine learning models using SAS Viya for data-driven insights.
- Data Visualization: Experience in creating interactive and insightful dashboards and reports using SAS Visual Analytics (VA), SAS Viya, and SAS EG.
- Business Analytics: Experience analyzing business data, creating insights, and preparing reports using SAS tools. Ability to communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Cloud-Based Tools: Familiarity with SAS Viya and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) for large-scale data processing and analytics.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
Desirable Skills:
- Data Integration: Knowledge of integrating data from multiple sources and systems (e.g., SAP, CRM, and databases) into SAS.
- RPA & Automation: Familiarity with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) tools and their integration with SAS for process automation.
- Big Data Tools: Understanding of big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and Hive is a plus.
- Business Intelligence: Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant SAS Certifications (e.g., SAS Certified Base Programmer, SAS Advanced Programmer, SAS Viya certifications) are a plus.
