Role: SAP Oracle DBA Architect ,
Location : India - Remote
Responsibilities:
Lead and execute end-to-end SAP Oracle database migrations from AIX to Oracle Linux using Transportable Tablespaces (XTTS).
Perform SAP Oracle database builds and configurations, ensuring alignment with SAP best practices.
Plan, design, and implement migration strategy for SAP Oracle databases (25 +TB environments) ensuring minimal downtime and data consistency.
Perform pre-migration assessments, including platform compatibility, tablespace readiness, and space utilization planning as per SAP best practices..
Collaborate with SAP Basis, OS, and Cloud Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless migration execution.
Conduct performance tuning pre- and post-migration to achieve optimal throughput and response times.
Implement and validate backup/recovery strategies (RMAN,) aligned with RTO/RPO requirements.
Manage Oracle patching, cloning, and upgrades as part of migration and environment readiness.
Configure and troubleshoot Linked Servers and database connectivity across heterogeneous environments.
Configure and manage Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for proactive monitoring and alerting.
Provide cutover planning, execution, and rollback strategy for production migrations.
Maintain database security, compliance, and audit readiness.
Document detailed migration runbooks, validation checklists, and post-migration reports.
Participate in 24x7 migration cutover windows and provide critical issue resolution during go-live.
