Job Description

SAP FICO Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

Implementation & Configuration:

  • Implement and configure SAP FICO modules to meet business and client needs.
  • Configure FI components including General Ledger (New G/L), Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Banking, Taxation, Asset Accounting, and Group Reporting.
  • Configure CO components such as Cost Elements, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Internal Orders, Product Costing, and Profitability Analysis.
  • Work on FI-MM and FI-SD integration, Asset Accounting configuration, and enhancements (IDOCs, Interfaces).

Functional Expertise:

  • Strong exposure to Vendor Master, Automatic Payment Program (APP), and Electronic Bank Statement (EBS).
  • Knowledge of New G/L, Segment Reporting, and Group Reporting processes.
  • Hands-on experience in O2C, Invoicing, Billing, Financial Analysis, Forecasting, and Variance Analysis.
  • Provide postgo-live production support across AR, AP, GL, and Controlling modules.

Client Engagement & Analysis:

  • Conduct business requirement gathering and analysis sessions with clients.
  • Translate business needs into system design and detailed documentation.
  • Analyze business requirements and recommend efficient, cost-effective solutions.
  • Support data migration, conversion, and validation activities.

Testing, Training & Support:

  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system validation.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on SAP FICO functionalities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve SAP FICO-related issues promptly.
  • Participate in post-implementation support and maintenance activities.

Project & Stakeholder Management:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and project execution.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, reports, and deliverables.
  • Monitor system performance and suggest process or configuration improvements.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders.
  • Manage multiple priorities while ensuring high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay up to date with SAP FICO trends, updates, and best practices.
  • Conduct regular reviews of implemented solutions to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and industry standards.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAP FICO implementation and support projects.
  • Excellent understanding of financial processes and controlling functions.
  • Proficiency in FI-CO integration with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PP).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a global, cross-functional environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong documentation and client interaction skills.
