Job Description

SAP ABAP Consultant

Key Responsibilities:

Understand client needs and requirements by coordinating with client representatives to deliver optimal technical solutions.
Design, develop, and maintain SAP ABAP programs and applications in line with functional specifications.
Translate business and functional requirements into detailed technical designs.
Perform coding, unit testing, debugging, and documentation of SAP applications.
Work closely with functional consultants and other stakeholders to ensure smooth implementation and integration.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during development, testing, and post-implementation phases.
Utilize SAP development tools including ABAP Webdynpro, RFCs, Web Services, Adaptive RFC, and NWDI Tracks (SCs, DCs).
Optionally work with Floor Plan Manager (FPM) and enhance SAP UI using Fiori principles.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation for all development and configuration work.
Provide post-implementation technical support and system enhancements as needed.
Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies, especially S/4HANA and Fiori advancements, and apply new learnings proactively.
Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and are completed within schedule.
Collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development (Reports, BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, SmartForms, Enhancements, etc.).
Good understanding of SAP Webdynpro, RFC, Web Services, and NWDI.
Exposure to SAP Fiori and S/4HANA environments preferred.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
