Role Overview

SAP ALM Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for SAP ALM implementations, upgrades, and transitions (Solution Manager Cloud ALM).
  
• Manage the full lifecycle of SAP projects including scoping, planning, effort estimation, scheduling, and risk management.
  
• Coordinate with internal technical teams, functional consultants, and client stakeholders to ensure alignment on project deliverables.
  
• Oversee documentation related to project plans, test management, change management, monitoring, and business process operations.
  
• Ensure successful deployment and adoption of Cloud ALM functionalities such as Monitoring, ITSM, Change & Release Management, and Test Execution.
  
• Conduct project governance meetings, status reporting, stakeholder updates, and maintain PMO compliance.
  
• Work closely with SAP Basis, Security, and functional teams to ensure ALM integrations are properly executed.
  
• Manage resource allocation, budget tracking, timelines, and quality standards across all SAP ALM initiatives.
  
• Identify gaps and propose improvements in project methodology, delivery frameworks, and ALM processes.
  
• Ensure adherence to compliance, audit readiness, and best practices across SAP projects.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; PMP/PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
  
• 7–12 years of total experience with at least 3 years in SAP ALM / SAP Solution Manager / SAP Cloud ALM project management.
  
• Strong understanding of SAP modules, integration points, and technical landscapes.
  
• Proven experience in managing large, multi-phase SAP projects.
  
• Hands-on experience in Cloud ALM functionalities (Monitoring, ITSM, Change Management, Test Suite).
  
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
  
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and drive successful outcomes.
  
• Experience working with cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience in SAP S/4HANA projects.
  
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  
• Experience with migration from Solution Manager to Cloud ALM.
  
• Certification in SAP ALM, ITIL, or related frameworks.
