SAP ABAP Consultant

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP ABAP Developer with strong hands-on expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing SAP custom solutions. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of ABAP, strong functional understanding, and experience working across SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA environments.

Roles & Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and implement SAP ABAP programs including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, and Forms (RICEF).

Work on ABAP Objects, OOPs concepts, and advanced ABAP features.

Develop Custom Objects using BAPIs, BADIs, User Exits, Enhancements Framework.

Build and support Smart Forms, Adobe Forms, ALV Reports, and Module Pool Programming.

Work on Interface technologies such as IDocs, RFCs, BAPIs, Proxy, and Web Services.

Support SAP data migration activities using LSMW, BDC, and custom programs.

Work with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Conduct performance tuning and code optimization for existing custom developments.

Support S/4HANA conversion projects and work on CDS Views, AMDP, OData services (if applicable).

Prepare technical specifications, documentation, and ensure adherence to SAP development standards.

Provide production support and troubleshooting for ABAP-related issues.

Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers when required.

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience.

Strong experience with RICEF objects and ABAP OO.

Good knowledge of IDocs, BAPI, BADI, User Exits, and Enhancement Framework.

Experience with SmartForms, Adobe Forms, ALV, Module Pool.

Hands-on experience with LSMW/BDC for data migration.

Strong debugging and performance tuning skills.

Experience working with S/4HANA, including CDS Views, AMDP, OData services (preferred).

Strong understanding of SAP functional modules such as MM, SD, FI, PP (at least one).

Good communication and ability to work directly with business/functional teams.
