Description
1st 2nd Line Production Support for the domain Incident Management, ensuring all root causes are followe'd up with engineering / vendor Deliver an Infrastructure and software provisioning for the domain Be part of capacity and performance management capability for the domain in conjunction with engineering Ensure SLA commitments are met, and escalate accordingly Ensure ISR policies and procedures are adhered to Work with Engineering and operations to ensure our environment is monitored appropriately and healty. Requirements Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of VMware technologies & products, scripting, automation. (Vmware 6.x, powercli, powershell) In depth experience on Enterprise Storage Management with good experience in design, planning and implementation of Storage solutions at Enterprise scale. Working Experience in handling and troubleshooting Storage Products such as Dell VMAX-3, PMAX, Pure and HP. Deep technical understanding of IaaS, PaaS, software defined networking and Virtualisation. Working Experience on Cisco and Brocade Switches administration (Broadcom/brocade Director Class switches), troubleshooting and performance analysis Existing proven technical skills covering Vcenter, Vrops and VRa/Vro skills highly desirable Experience working in relevant environment/s, ie It infrastructure support Experience working in relevant market/context, ie Cloud Services and Virtualisation Past working experience in a relevant role, ie Worked in a similar role before in a global organisation Past working experience on relevant systems, ie Virtualisation technologies, automation, Storage, networks Experience of using relevant software packages, ie Global service desk Availability to work the shift pattern required for this role, ie Availability to be on a call out Rota is needed for this role Availability to undertake the travel required for this role, ie Ad Hoc as needed globally Willingness to undertake the training/study required in this role, ie Willingness to undertake training and study as needed for new products and services Experience working in relevant environment/s, ie Virtualisation and cloud in a similar function is desirable but not essential Experience working in relevant market/context, ie Global Support / Virtualisation and cloud is desirable but not essential Past working experience in a relevant role, ie Global Support is desirable but not essential Previous experience of delivering an excellent customer service An open, flexible and supportive approach to change and innovation Set and achieved challenging short, medium and long term goals which exceeded the standards in their field Both spoken and written communication skills with experience of adapting your style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered Contributed productively to team objectives, sometimes supporting and sometimes leading activities to achieve shared goals Experience of planning and prioritising their own time effectively, aware of their responsibilities and committed to delivering these efficiently Supported project teams/managers, showing an understanding of the basic principles of project management Experience of personally complying with business processes, rules and regulations In addition to the details listed above, the ideal candidate will have worked as part of a Global Support team, and be customer focussed.
