Job Description

Role Overview

onboarding, training, and upskilling

Key Responsibilities

1. Training & Onboarding

  • Conduct onboarding and induction programs for new sales hires as per the training schedule.
  • Deliver product training, process training, CRM training, and pitch training to all new joiners.
  • Ensure new team members become productive and confident within the expected timeframe.

2. Ongoing Sales Training

  • Conduct regular refresher training sessions for existing sales team members.
  • Train the team on sales pitch, objection handling, product knowledge, competitor insights, and communication skills.
  • Introduce new training modules based on evolving business needs.

3. Sales Call Quality Audits

  • Listen to sales calls regularly, evaluate pitch quality, structure, tonality, and adherence to scripts.
  • Rate calls using a standard scorecard and share actionable feedback with team members.
  • Identify gaps and recommend improvements to enhance conversion rates.

4. Counselling & Performance Review

  • Attend and observe sales counselling sessions/meetings periodically.
  • Assess the effectiveness of meetings and provide coaching feedback.
  • Help team members improve their closure approach and customer experience.

5. Quality Standards & Compliance

  • Ensure quality and consistency are maintained across all sales calls and meetings.
  • Monitor CRM usage and ensure timely updates and compliance with best practices.
  • Enforce standards for lead handling, follow-up frequency, and pitch delivery.

6. Performance Improvement

  • Identify underperformers based on audit scores, KPIs, and manager feedback.
  • Design and implement

    Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs)

  • Track progress, provide continuous coaching, and ensure measurable improvement.

7. Coordination with Admission Head

  • Work closely with the Admission Head to identify skill gaps and training needs.
  • Align training strategies with sales targets and organizational goals.

8. Assessments & Evaluation

  • Conduct regular assessments, tests, role plays, and evaluations for new joiners and existing team members.
  • Share assessment reports and track progress over time.

9. Sales Documentation & Knowledge Base

  • Create and maintain training documentation, best practices, sales scripts, objection handling guides, and process manuals.
  • Update training materials regularly to ensure they remain accurate and effective.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience in sales training, call audits, or sales coaching (preferably 3+ years).
  • Strong knowledge of sales processes, counselling techniques, and CRM usage.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to analyze performance data and provide structured feedback.
  • Strong documentation and process-building orientation.
