Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Build relationships with current and future customers and lead the new business development activities.
  • Negotiate pricing for new programs and all changes to launch and manage existing programs.
  • Prepare the commercial price negotiation and get approval for strategy, and for any offer before submission to customer.
  • Develop New Business Plans & business cases which assess Return on Investments.
  • Develop Quotations which will be submitted to Customers including customer-specific cost breakdown sheets.
  • Work with a complex bill of material to understand and program costs.
  • Develop roadmaps for cost and financials to meet price and Company targets.
  • Work with a variety of manufacturing processes and related costs (stamping, welding, assembly, paint, etc.).
  • Follow-up on open quote and program financial issues until they are resolved.
  • Negotiate pricing, change management, steel indexing, commercial claims, and other commercial tasks.
  • Direct involvement in spending and recoveries for all applicable areas.
  • Ensures that the commercial file transmitted by the program is complete and coherent and that the history of the commercial items (initial offer, changes, piece price, tooling, D&D evolution, any other agreement) are correctly documented internally with the related cost information and contractually communicated to the customer.
  • Keep files updated (weight, material consumption - net and gross, raw material reference prices) and gets internal approval for cost changes linked to material changes.
  • Generate new business opportunities with existing and new customers, considering both traditional business opportunities and potential to fill open capacity with non-traditional customer opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in account management (Stamping, Welding & Assembly)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in automotive account management, ideally in seating
  • Experience and exposure to European OEM’s
  • Experience working with different OEM forms and systems, including cost breakdown forms quoting systems
  • Experience with Volkswagen, Audi, Volvo, BMW and Stellantis is a plus
