Key Responsibilities

1. New Business Acquisition (Hunting - 50% Focus)

  • Develop and execute a robust prospecting strategy to identify, qualify, and secure new logo accounts within the [Target Market/Vertical].
  • Lead the entire sales cycle, from cold outreach and lead generation through to proposal presentation, negotiation, and contract closure for net-new business.
  • Clearly articulate the value proposition of our IT Services (e.g., Managed Services, Cloud, Consulting) and Solutions (e.g., Hardware, Software) to prospective clients.
  • Actively network and engage in industry events to build a strong pipeline of opportunities.

2. Account Management & Growth (Farming - 50% Focus)

  • Manage a portfolio of existing key accounts

    , acting as the primary business relationship owner and trusted advisor.
  • Develop comprehensive

    Account Plans

    to identify opportunities for increasing client investment (up-selling/cross-selling) in additional IT services and solutions.
  • Conduct regular business reviews (QBRs) with clients to assess their evolving IT needs, demonstrate value, and secure contract renewals.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and loyalty, proactively addressing client issues in collaboration with the Service Delivery team.

3. Sales Strategy & Operations

  • Accurately forecast sales pipeline, opportunity size, and closing dates for both new and existing business in the company's CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop targeted campaigns and with Technical Teams to ensure solutions align with client requirements.
  • Stay current with technology trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices in the IT sector.

  • Required Qualifications
  • Experience:

    8

    + years of progressive sales experience

    in the

    Information Technology industry

    , with a demonstrable track record of success in both:
    • New Business Acquisition (Hunting)

      and
    • Existing Account Management (Farming/Growth).

  • Domain Knowledge:

    Proven experience selling a mix of

    IT Services

    (e.g., Managed Services, Professional Services, Cloud) and

    IT Solutions/Products

    (e.g., Enterprise Hardware, Software).
  • Proven Success:

    Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed a significant blended sales quota (e.g., $1M+ in ARR/revenue annually).
  • Technical Acumen:

    Strong foundational knowledge of IT concepts, including Networking, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, and Data Center infrastructure.
  • Education:

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Superior verbal and written communication, presentation, and complex negotiation skills.
