Role & responsibilities

Roles and Responsibilities of a Sales and Marketing Manager in STP/ETP Wastewater Treatment Industry:

Business Development

Identify and explore new business opportunities in municipal, industrial, and commercial sectors.
Develop strategies to enter new markets or industries (e.g., pharmaceuticals, textiles, food processing).

Marketing Strategy & Execution

Design and implement marketing campaigns focused on promoting STP/ETP technologies.
Conduct competitor analysis and monitor industry trends.
Promote the company's services at trade shows, exhibitions, and through digital platforms (LinkedIn, Google Ads, etc.).
Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline.
Use CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho) to track leads, opportunities, and customer interactions.

Client Relationship Management

Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in municipal corporations, industrial zones, consultants, and EPC contractors.
Handle pre-sales and post-sales queries and ensure customer satisfaction.

Proposal Development and Tendering

Prepare and submit technical-commercial proposals and quotations.

Technical Acumen & Product Knowledge

Have a working knowledge of wastewater treatment technologies: MBBR, SBR, MBR, UF/RO systems, etc.
Collaborate with R&D and operations to stay updated on product/service improvements.

Sales Target Achievement

Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets.
Prepare sales forecasts and budgeting in coordination with the finance and operations teams.
