Sales Manager - Air Freight

The Air Freight Sales role involves promoting and selling air freight services to businesses and clients. You will be responsible for ensuring that Orchid Shipping Private Limited (OSPL) meets its Air Freight business objectives by gaining new customers, driving customer growth, retaining existing customers, and continuously adding value to customers. Your responsibilities will include developing the Air Freight Product for OSPL, preparing budgets, sales plans, and executing management sales strategies. You will be expected to achieve sales goals through market planning, personal sales execution, and building business relationships with key customers, new business, and retention. Additionally, you will collaborate with various operations departments to provide necessary follow-up services for customers. Furthermore, you will be required to generate new business by identifying potential clients, creating sales strategies, managing existing accounts to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction, researching market trends and customer needs, negotiating pricing and service agreements with clients, and meeting or exceeding sales targets and performance goals. You will also need to plan new/existing contacts for customer retention, penetration, and proactively address customer requirements with a problem resolution approach. To be successful in this role, you should have proven sales experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management. Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential along with in-depth knowledge of air freight operations, including international shipping regulations and customs requirements. Being customer-focused with excellent relationship-building skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment, familiarity with CRM software and sales tracking tools, and strong organizational and time management skills are also important qualifications for this position.,
