Your responsibilities may entail the following key tasks, in addition to other assignments that may be delegated: - Promoting and selling Medtronic's products and services in an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer accounts to surpass sales targets. - Cultivating, constructing, and fortifying enduring relationships with stakeholders, including distributors and healthcare professionals. - Pursuing leads, evaluating needs, and delivering product services to optimize the benefits derived from Medtronic's offerings. - Advocating for and establishing education on the company's products and services. - Conducting comprehensive market research encompassing customer activities and competitor analysis. - Executing market development plans/strategies and adapting them as required. - Providing feedback from customers on new products, modifications to existing products, or applications to internal stakeholders such as R&D, Operations, and Marketing. As part of the Sales Professional Career Stream, you will typically function as an individual contributor with direct sales responsibilities. You may oversee the work of other sales professionals or manage sales processes and/or accounts involving multiple team members. Your primary focus will involve establishing and nurturing customer relationships, expanding your customer base, implementing sales strategies, and finalizing sales transactions. Your role will involve: - Autonomy: Serving as an entry-level sales professional managing individual or team accounts, selling products/services to a client group, and identifying potential customers. Your work will be closely supervised as you maintain relationships. - Organizational Impact: Striving to achieve individual sales targets by selling lower complexity products/services, developing new accounts, and expanding existing accounts. You will have some influence on the team's overall sales performance. - Innovation and Complexity: Following standard sales and business development practices, analyzing situations or data to readily obtain answers. You may suggest changes in account tactics to meet sales goals and implement process improvements. - Communication and Influence: Engaging with external customers and/or vendors, involving basic negotiation and presentations to close sales. You will be involved in obtaining or providing information that may require explanation or interpretation. As an individual in this role, you are expected to possess a B.E or B.Tech (Bio Medical Engineers/Bio Technology)/B. Pharma/Bachelors Degree in Sciences from an accredited university. Additionally, a broad knowledge of sales techniques acquired through education and/or on-the-job learning is essential. Medtronic provides a competitive salary and a flexible benefits package.
