Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and results-driven Field Sales Executive to join our team in the FMCG sector. The ideal candidate will excel in identifying opportunities, building lasting customer relationships, and driving sales growth. This role is critical in ensuring effective product distribution and visibility while meeting ambitious sales targets in a fast-paced market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve Sales Targets:
  • Drive sales to achieve monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Build Customer Relationships:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and key decision-makers.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Market Expansion:
  • Strategically increase the market share by onboarding new retailers and distributors.
  • Identify underpenetrated areas and devise action plans to grow business.
  • Product Visibility and Merchandising:
  • Ensure proper product placement, visibility, and shelf presence in retail outlets.
  • Coordinate and execute marketing and trade promotions effectively.
  • Competitor Analysis:
  • Gather and report on competitor activities, pricing strategies, and new product launches.
  • Provide actionable insights to the management team to stay ahead in the market.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure optimal inventory management in stores.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to prevent stock shortages or overstocking.
  • Data and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of sales, customer interactions, and performance metrics.
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to the sales manager.
  • Compliance and Ethics:
  • Uphold the company’s values by adhering to ethical sales practices and company policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Sales Executive in the FMCG industry (2–4 years preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of FMCG products, markets, and sales strategies.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Proficient in using CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Resilient, self-motivated, and results-oriented.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
