Job Description

Role & responsibilities Terms of Reference 1. POST DETAILS: Post: Sales Executive Contract Duration: Permanent, initial contract shall be for a period of 1 (one) year. Department: Revenue (Optical Sales) Department. Division: Retail Services. 2. REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS The Sales Executive will report to the Manager, Front Office, and is expected to work closely with the Sales Team of EyeCare. 3. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES The Sales Executive will be responsible for ensuring seamless shop operations, customer service, and inventory management while maintaining a clean and welcoming environment 4. SCOPE OF WORK Greet and attend to all walk-in customers, providing professional assistance. Maintain cleanliness of racks, merchandise, and product displays. Arrange visually appealing merchandise displays to maximize sales effectiveness. Ensure the shop floor remains tidy and well-organized. Create a welcoming ambiance by regulating temperature, lighting, and background music. Manage stock levels to ensure product availability and optimize inventory turnover. Provide customers with information about ongoing promotions and special offers. Address and resolve customer complaints, maintaining proper records of responses. Assist Customer Associates and Sales Staffs in handling demanding customers and follow-up interactions. Prepare quotations and process invoices for credit customers. Supervise and provide coaching to Sales Team to enhance performance. Monitor and inspect merchandise displays, ensuring timely corrective actions. Assist in conducting regular briefings for Sales Team to share product knowledge and discuss operational matters. Carry out tasks typically assigned to Sales Team when required. Identify and propose ways to improve work efficiency and service delivery. Collaborate with colleagues and share workload to support smooth operations. 5. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree (MNQF level 6) in Front Office, Retail Management or related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in front office, retail services or related field. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in optical retail operations. Or Diploma (MNQF level 5) in Front Office, Retail Management or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in front office, retail services or related field. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in optical retail operations. 6. DESIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Fluency in written and spoken Dhivehi and English. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving abilities and customer-oriented mindset. Knowledge of customer service principles and practices. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
