Sales & Costing Engineer

As a Sales & Costing Engineer at our company located in Chakan, Maharashtra, India, your primary responsibilities will include: - Analysing client/tender specifications to prepare accurate technical and commercial proposals. - Preparing detailed bills of quantity (BOQ) and cost estimates for projects. - Calculating costs based on material, labour, and other project requirements. In the domain of Design and Engineering, you will be expected to: - Design low-voltage (LV) panels such as PCC, MCC, APFC, and control panels. - Create single-line diagrams (SLD), general arrangement (GA) drawings, and wiring diagrams using software like AutoCAD. - Select appropriate electrical components based on load calculations and technical requirements. - Ensure designs are cost-effective, safe, and optimise space. Your role will also involve: - Liaising with procurement, sales, quality, and production teams. - Coordinating with vendors to get competitive quotations for components. - Collaborating with project managers and other engineers to ensure feasible and cost-effective solutions. In terms of Documentation and Compliance, you will be responsible for: - Maintaining updated costing databases and component libraries. - Ensuring designs and proposals comply with industry standards like IS and IEC. - Preparing and managing project documentation. To excel in this role, you should possess: - Strong knowledge of electrical panel design and switchgear components. - Expertise in costing, estimation, and BOQ preparation. - Proficiency with design and costing software like AutoCAD and Excel. - Understanding of electrical power distribution principles. On the soft skills front, you should demonstrate: - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Attention to detail and organisational skills. - Ability to work collaboratively with other teams. To be eligible for this position, you should hold a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and have experience in the electrical manufacturing sector, especially with LV panels.,
