Job Description

Position Title: Sales Coordinator
Department: Sales & Marketing
Location: Ramada Plaza, Guindy, Chennai.

Position Summary

The Sales Coordinator supports the Sales & Marketing team in driving revenue by handling administrative tasks, assisting with sales activities, coordinating client communications, preparing proposals, and ensuring smooth execution of sales processes. This role acts as a crucial link between clients, the sales team, and hotel operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales Support & Administration

  • Prepare sales proposals, contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs), and corporate rate agreements.
  • Maintain and update client databases, sales reports, and revenue tracking systems .
  • Assist with preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales performance reports.
  • Coordinate sales appointments, site inspections, and client meetings.
  • Handle internal communication between departments to ensure client requirements are met.

Client Relations

  • Respond to sales inquiries through email, phone, or online platforms in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist the sales team in following up on leads, confirmations, and contract finalizations.
  • Maintain excellent customer service standards to enhance client satisfaction and loyalty.

Event & Group Coordination

  • Support the planning and coordination of group bookings, events, and MICE business.
  • Work closely with the banquets, front office, reservations, and F&B teams to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Track rooming lists, group blocks, and event schedules.

Marketing & Sales Activities

  • Assist in creating sales presentations, promotional materials, and marketing collateral.
  • Support digital marketing activities such as social media posts, newsletters, and campaign coordination .
  • Participate in hotel sales calls, trade shows, and networking events when required.

Qualifications & SkillsEducation

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field (preferred).

Experience

  • 1–2 years of experience in hotel sales, reservations, or front office roles .
  • Fresh graduates with strong communication and organizational skills may also be considered.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with hotel sales or reservation systems is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
