Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities Retail Sales Associate

1. Customer Service & Engagement

Greet customers warmly and ensure a positive shopping experience.
Assist customers in finding products based on needs and preferences.
Provide product knowledge, features, benefits, and price details.
Resolve customer queries, complaints, and returns professionally.

2. Sales & Store Targets

Actively promote products to drive sales.
Support upselling and cross-selling to achieve store targets.
Maintain high conversion rates and contribute to daily/weekly sales goals.

3. Store Operations

Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and store presentation standards.
Ensure shelves, racks, and displays are fully stocked and well arranged.
Participate in store opening and closing duties.
Follow company SOPs for daily operational tasks.

4. Billing & Cash Handling

Operate POS systems, billing counters, and card machines.
Handle cash, card, UPI, and return transactions accurately.
Maintain billing accuracy and follow cash-handling policies.

5. Inventory & Stock Management

Assist in receiving, counting, and tagging new stock.
Update inventory records as per store process.
Monitor stock movement, report low stock, and manage replenishment.
Support during monthly/quarterly stock audits.

6. Visual Merchandising

Maintain product display standards as per brand guidelines.
Ensure mannequins, signage, and promotional materials are updated.

7. Compliance & Safety

Follow store SOPs, grooming standards, and company policies.
Ensure safety, security, and loss prevention measures are followed.
