Safety Officer

Position Overview

The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all workplace safety standards, implementing effective safety protocols, and creating a culture of safety at the project site. This role demands vigilance, technical knowledge, and the ability to train and motivate the workforce to adopt safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce site safety rules, policies, and statutory regulations.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and regular audits of tools, equipment, and work areas.
• Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions to prevent accidents.
• Organize and conduct safety training sessions.
• Investigate accidents and near-misses, prepare reports, and follow up on corrective measures.
• Maintain all safety records and documentation as per company and client requirements.
• Coordinate with site supervisors, project managers, and client representatives on safety matters.
• Ensure compliance with PVUNL/NTPC safety guidelines and contractor safety procedures.

Required Qualifications

• B.Tech in Safety Engineering with minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, OR
• Diploma in Engineering with a Safety Certification and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Certification in Industrial Safety is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of national safety standards, occupational health, and environmental guidelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
