Job Description

1. Daily Safety Monitoring & Inspections

Conduct daily safety walkthroughs to identify unsafe acts or conditions.
Inspect material handling equipment (MHE), racks, fire extinguishers, and PPE compliance.
Ensure safety of inbound/outbound vehicle movement (dock safety, reverse parking, etc.).
Monitor electrical, chemical, and physical hazards regularly.

2. Incident Reporting & Investigation

Record and report all near misses, incidents, and injuries.
Lead or assist in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions.
Maintain a log of all safety incidents and investigation reports.

3. Training & Safety Induction

Conduct safety induction for new joiners, visitors, and contractors.
Organize toolbox talks, refresher sessions, and targeted training (e.g., fire, first aid).
Create safety awareness through visual displays, banners, and campaigns.

4. Emergency Preparedness

Ensure availability and readiness of fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and evacuation plans.
Conduct mock drills for fire, evacuation, spill response, etc., as per schedule.
Coordinate with local emergency services if required.

5. PPE & Safety Compliance

Ensure usage and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Verify contractor and employee compliance with site safety protocols.
Flag non-compliance and enforce disciplinary action when required.

6. Legal & Audit Readiness

Maintain compliance records like:
Accident register
Inspection reports
Safety checklists
Prepare for internal and external audits (corporate, legal, insurance).
Support HSE manager in ensuring site compliance with Factories Act, BOCW Act, and local safety laws.

7. Warehouse & Logistics-Specific Safety

Monitor safe stacking, racking, and storage practices.
Ensure safe movement of forklifts, pallet trucks, and other MHEs.
Conduct periodic safety checks at loading/unloading docks, battery charging stations, and cold storage zones (if applicable).

8. Safety Documentation & Reporting

Maintain and update:
Daily and monthly safety checklists
Near-miss and observation trackers
Training attendance sheets and MOMs
Submit weekly/monthly safety reports to m
