Job Description

Job Title: Safety Manager

- Industry: Construction

- Reports to: Project Head/VP

## Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain site-specific safety plans and procedures

- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and mitigate hazards

- Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, standards, and contractual requirements (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001)

- Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders to promote a safety-first culture

- Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions

- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees and subcontractors

- Monitor and report on site safety performance, including injury and incident rates

- Manage and maintain safety-related documentation, including permits, reports, and records

- Conduct safety meetings and toolbox talks with project teams

- Identify and implement safety best practices and innovations

## Essential Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in occupational health and safety, Construction Management, or related field

- 15+ years of experience in construction safety management

- Strong understanding of construction safety regulations, standards, and best practices

- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

- Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, SMS) is a plus

- Proficiency in safety management software and tools

## Desired Skills and Experience:

- Experience with construction projects (residential, commercial, industrial)

- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment

- Familiarity with safety management systems (e.g., ISO 45001)

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
