Job Description

We are looking for a Safety Executive to maintain a safe working environment and ensure compliance with safety rules across the plant.

Daily Plant Safety Monitoring

· Conduct daily safety rounds across all areas of the plant.

· Identify unsafe acts/conditions and take immediate corrective action.

· Ensure SOPs and safety rules are followed in production, weaving, lamination, stitching, and cutting areas.

· Perform special monitoring of high-risk zones (extrusion, stitching machines, cutting blades, hot areas).

Fire Safety Management

· Inspect fire extinguishers, hydrants, hose reels, fire detectors, and alarm systems on a regular basis.

· Ensure fire safety equipment is in the correct location and properly maintained.

· Conduct scheduled fire drills at least every three months.

· Provide consistent training on correct use of fire extinguishers and emergency procedures.

Machine & Equipment Safety

· Perform daily safety checks of hydras, forklifts, cranes, hoists, and other lifting tools.

· Verify operator safety checklists before use.

· Ensure safety guards, emergency stops, and limit switches are functional.

· Enforce lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance or machine shutdowns.

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Control

· Ensure all workers are issued correct PPE (helmets, gloves, safety shoes, masks, goggles).

· Monitor proper use of PPE by all employees at all times.

· Replace damaged or expired PPE immediately.

· Maintain accurate PPE inventory and stock levels.

Power Cut / Light Failure Safety

· Immediately supervise safety operations during power outages or light failures.

· Inspect emergency lighting and exit signs to ensure they are functional.

· Ensure hydras, forklifts, cranes, and material handling equipment are moved to safe positions during outages.

· Restrict movement of workers in dark or unsafe zones until proper lighting is restored.

· Keep sensitive machines in safe mode to prevent sudden restarts.

· After power is restored, re-check machinery and electrical systems before authorizing restart.

Training & Awareness

· Train all new workers on basic safety rules when they join.

· Give regular training every 3 months on fire safety, machine safety, electrical safety, handling chemicals, and emergency procedures.

· Encourage workers to follow safety rules and maintain discipline at all times.

Documentation & Reporting

· Maintain daily safety checklists and inspection logs.

· Record near-misses, minor and major accidents, and conduct incident investigations.

· Maintain fire safety records, PPE issuance registers, training logs, and CAPA (Corrective & Preventive Action) reports.

Legal & Audit Compliance

· Ensure compliance with Factory Act, Fire Act, and applicable electrical and safety regulations.

Prepare and maintain statutory safety records for internal and external audits.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
