Ruby on Rails Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Ruby on Rails Developer to join our dynamic team at Backspacce Technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing web applications using Ruby on Rails, ensuring high performance, scalability, and responsiveness.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices.
• Design and implement new features and functionalities.
• Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
• Maintain and improve existing systems by refactoring, upgrading, and integrating new technologies.
• Write and maintain technical documentation.
• Ensure code quality through testing, peer reviews, and automated pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Proven experience as a Ruby on Rails Developer (2+ years preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Ruby, Rails framework, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and front-end frameworks.
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar).
• Proficiency in Git/GitHub or other version control tools.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
• Contribution to open-source projects or personal coding portfolio.
