Position Objective:

The Regional Sales Manager acts as a strategic leader for the assigned business unit or territory (Branches and/or STLs). Functioning as a mini distributor, the RSM is responsible for planning, executing, and monitoring joint business plans, ensuring operational excellence and profitable growth. The role demands leadership in driving sales, distribution, and team performance while aligning with the companys strategic goals and distributor vision.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement joint business plans with distributors.
  • Achieve monthly sales, coverage, and profitability targets.
  • Ensure effective execution of sales fundamentals (RPS, OHD, productivity metrics).

2. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and motivate a team of Sales Team Leaders (STLs) and Branch In-Charges.
  • Build capability within the team through training, development, and performance reviews.
  • Foster a high-performance culture aligned with organisational values.

3. Operations & Process Management

  • Ensure smooth functioning of branches and backroom processes.
  • Maintain accurate and timely data for business planning and reporting.
  • Drive branch Key Execution Areas (KEA) for operational efficiency.

4. Retailers & Market Management

  • Act as the key liaison between the company and retailers.
  • Ensure product availability and market coverage as per the plan.
  • Strengthen relationships with key customers, suppliers, and transporters.

5. Initiative Execution

  • Lead the execution of market initiatives and promotional programs.
  • Track and ensure high initiative hit rates and ROI on activations.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Area, Measurement, Business, Achievement of retailing targets, Profitability, Profits as per business plan, Coverage, Coverage expansion vs. plan, Sales Fundamentals, RPS, OHD, and productivity performance, Branch Operations, KEA compliance and accuracy

Requirements:

Education: Graduate or Post-Graduate (preferably with a Diploma in Sales/Marketing)
