Job Description

As a Rights and Permissions Administrator for English Language Learning (ELL) products and services at Pearson, your role involves supporting the rights clearance function to enable the use of photos, videos, and text assets. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to manage data processing and system-based tasks for multiple projects, ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in achieving your goals. Additionally, you will have opportunities to expand your knowledge of rights and permissions beyond the immediate scope of the role. Key Responsibilities: - Work within systems supporting the acquisition of third-party media rights, including financial processing, data management for image/text/video assets, and report generation - Identify tasks in the systems that require escalation or enhancement and take responsibility for resolving them - Proactively address backlog of clearance tasks and maintain new tasks with support from the team - Collaborate with the ELL team to complete projects and identify systems records that need remediation - Provide administrative support to Project Managers to meet project schedules - Manage documentation generated by R&P projects to ensure organization and accessibility Key Accountabilities: - Meet clearance task targets to meet project deadlines - Add assessment logs to the data management system post-project closeout - Download hi-res media assets and upload them to the data management system - Create content plans for small/ad-hoc projects - Process permission requests to ensure rights acquisition before publication/release - Manage data upload for new versions of existing projects - Handle invoice management for cost-bearing clearance tasks - Engage with rights initiatives within the R&P function - Attend meetings to communicate task status across the line of business Key Challenges: - Attention to detail is crucial for accuracy - Work on multiple projects simultaneously Competencies: - Fluent English speaker - Highly organized and skilled administrator - Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management - Willingness to learn and excel in bespoke systems - Strong communication and team-working abilities - Experience or interest in content, media, or publishing - Knowledge of copyright laws or willingness to learn Qualifications & Training: - A good level of academic and/or vocational qualification - Full training and ongoing support for bespoke systems and processes will be provided - Interest in learning, education, and digital technologies In addition to the job description, Pearson is an equal opportunities employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
