This requires a combination of analytical skills, creativity, and a deep understanding of fashion trends and consumer behavior. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Product Planning and Development:** - Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to determine product selection. - Plan and create seasonal merchandise strategies. - **Inventory Management:** - Monitor stock levels and make decisions on reordering, discontinuation, and markdowns. - Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products. - Optimize inventory turnover to minimize excess stock and reduce markdowns. - **Sales Analysis and Forecasting:** - Analyze sales data to identify bestsellers and underperforming products. - Forecast future sales trends to make informed purchasing decisions. - Prepare sales reports and present findings to management. - **Pricing Strategy:** - Set pricing strategies based on market analysis and company objectives. - Implement promotional activities and markdown strategies. - Monitor competitor pricing and adjust strategies accordingly. - **Cross-functional Collaboration:** - Coordinate with marketing teams to plan and execute promotional campaigns. - Work closely with store managers to ensure proper execution of merchandising plans. - Liaise with logistics and distribution teams to streamline product delivery processes.
