Job Overview:

The Retail Sales Assistant is responsible for assisting customers with their purchases, providing product information, and ensuring an outstanding shopping experience. The role involves maintaining store displays, managing stock, and ensuring the store environment is clean and organized.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet and assist customers as they enter the store.
• Answer customer inquiries regarding products, services, and promotions.
• Provide recommendations based on customers’ needs and preferences.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and escalate them when necessary.
• Sales:
• Process transactions, handle cash, and operate the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Achieve individual and team sales targets.
• Promote store loyalty programs and special promotions.
• Upsell and cross-sell products to enhance sales.
• Product Knowledge:
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of products, including new arrivals and promotions.
• Stay up to date with current sales and promotions, policies regarding payment and exchanges, and store security practices.
• Stock Management:
• Assist with receiving, checking, and organizing merchandise.
• Restock shelves and maintain store displays.
• Ensure stock levels are maintained and inform the management team of any low stock or out-of-stock items.
• Assist in stocktakes and inventory audits.
• Store Maintenance:
• Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing.
• Ensure dressing rooms and customer areas are neat and tidy.
• Assist with visual merchandising to ensure displays reflect the store’s aesthetic and product placement strategy.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with other sales associates and store management to ensure smooth store operations.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to store initiatives.
• Provide support to colleagues during peak periods, holidays, and special events.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field may be preferred).
• Previous retail sales or customer service experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic knowledge of inventory procedures and POS systems.
• A positive attitude and a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Working Conditions:

• Flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Physical requirements may include standing for long periods, lifting light to medium items, and occasional climbing ladders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month

Schedule:

• Day shift

Supplemental Pay:

• Performance bonus
