Job Description

Retail Health Expert (Counter Sales & Claims) Key Responsibilities Counter Sales (Front Office Support) Attend walk-in customers at the retail counter and guide them on health insurance products and services. Explain product features, benefits, premium details, and policy terms in a clear and customer-friendly manner. Achieve monthly sales targets through cross-selling and up-selling health insurance plans. Maintain customer records, proposals, and application forms accurately. Build lasting relationships with customers to drive repeat business and referrals. Claims Assistance Assist customers with claim intimation, documentation, and submission processes. Coordinate with insurance companies/TPAs to ensure timely processing of claims. Track claim status and proactively update customers. Resolve claim-related queries and escalate issues wherever necessary. Educate customers about claims guidelines, required documents, and timelines. Customer Service & Operations Handle policy renewals, endorsements, and corrections in customer details. Maintain compliance with company policies, regulatory norms, and IRDAI guidelines. Generate daily/weekly MIS reports related to sales and claims. Provide feedback to management on customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of health insurance products and claims process. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Customer service orientation with problem-solving attitude. Basic knowledge of computers (MS Office, CRM tools). Ability to handle pressure and achieve sales targets.    Qualifications & Experience Graduate in any discipline (preferred: commerce, business, or related field). Minimum 1–3 years of experience in health insurance / retail sales / claims assistance. IRDAI certification (if required for sales role). Preferred Qualities Prior experience in insurance broking, TPA, or hospital front desk will be an advantage. Multilingual skills (English, Hindi, and local language) desirable. Energetic, approachable, and customer-focused personality.
