Job Title: Restaurant Captain

Location: Kanhangad,kasaragod,kerela
Department: Food & Beverage Service
Reports To: Restaurant Manager / F&B supervisior

Job Summary:

The Restaurant Captain is responsible for ensuring smooth restaurant operations, maintaining high service standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. The role involves supervising service staff, coordinating with the kitchen, and ensuring guests are served efficiently and courteously.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel welcomed and comfortable.
  • Supervise restaurant staff and ensure proper table setup, cleanliness, and order.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and communicate effectively with the kitchen.
  • Oversee and assist in food service to ensure prompt, professional, and courteous delivery.
  • Ensure guests’ needs are met throughout their dining experience and handle complaints professionally.
  • Train, guide, and motivate the service team to maintain high standards of performance.
  • Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff for smooth service flow.
  • Monitor table turnover and manage reservations efficiently.
  • Maintain stock of restaurant supplies and report shortages to management.
  • Ensure adherence to hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
  • Support the Restaurant Manager in daily operations and handle responsibilities in their absence.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Captain or 3-4 Steward experience in a reputed restaurant or hotel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and menu items.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or related field preferred.
  • Flexible to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.37 - ₹20,000.68 per month
