Job Title: Restaurant Captain Location: Resto Café, Tottapamkulam Reports To: Café Manager / Owner Job Summary: The Restaurant Captain at Resto Café plays a key role in leading the service team, ensuring smooth operations, and providing an exceptional dining experience to guests. This role involves supervising staff, managing guest interactions, and maintaining service quality in a warm and welcoming café environment. Key Responsibilities: Greet and seat guests promptly and courteously. Coordinate daily front-of-house operations and team assignments. Monitor table service to ensure speed, accuracy, and guest satisfaction. Train and guide waiters and service staff to uphold café standards. Manage guest feedback and resolve complaints with professionalism. Ensure the cleanliness and ambiance of the café at all times. Maintain knowledge of the full menu, including specials and beverages. Promote signature dishes and upsell café offerings. Assist with inventory checks of service-related items (cutlery, napkins, etc.). Handle reservations and support event setups when required. Ensure hygiene and safety protocols are followed strictly. Requirements: Minimum 1–2 years of experience in a similar role within a café or restaurant. Friendly personality with strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of food and beverage service. Comfortable working flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays. Language fluency: [e.g., Malayalam and English preferred]. Preferred Qualifications: Certification or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field. Familiarity with billing systems or POS software.
