Over the past two decades, the organization has established a strong presence across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Maharashtra, delivering impactful programs that improve the health and lives of vulnerable children.   To strengthen its global efforts, DESIRE Society also operates an overseas office in the State of Georgia, USA, since 2010, holding IRS 501(c)(3) recognition.   Job Opening: Resource Mobilization Officer (RMO) – Bangalore   Position: Full-time   Location: Bangalore, India   Reports to: Head – Communications   DESIRE Society is seeking an experienced development professional to join as a Resource Mobilization Officer (RMO). This role is central to advancing the organization’s mission through effective fundraising, donor engagement, and sustainability strategies.  Key Responsibilities   - Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies targeting individual donors, institutions, and corporate partners.   - Manage and expand relationships with current and prospective major donors through direct meetings, events, cultivation, and solicitation.   - Identify and research new funding opportunities, both within and outside the organization’s existing donor base.   - Solicit financial contributions through face-to-face meetings, presentations, and other donor engagement techniques.   - Maintain consistent communication with donor groups and serve as their primary point of professional contact.   - Build and update donor profiles in the database to track engagement, contributions, and interests.   - Prepare and manage annual fundraising budgets, reports, and analyses.   - Coordinate donor-focused events, including planning, logistics, materials, sponsorship packages, and acknowledgments.   - Recruit and train volunteers to mobilize in-kind contributions and event support.   - Develop knowledge of planned-giving strategies and innovative fundraising approaches.   - Manage vendor relationships for events and donor engagement activities (including printers, consultants, and event partners).   - Stay informed on evolving fundraising practices in the non-profit sector, especially within the Indian context, and participate in professional trainings.   - Retain existing donors through regular engagement and follow-ups.   - Create and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual fundraising plans.   - Evaluate the success of past fundraising events and integrate creative innovations into future initiatives.   Education & Experience   - Minimum graduate degree required; postgraduate qualification preferred.   - At least 2 years of proven fundraising experience in India, with a focus on major gifts and fundraising events.   - Proficiency in MS Office and basic computer applications.   - Strong communication and facilitation skills in English and regional languages.   - Highly motivated, with the ability to plan and work independently.   - Demonstrated passion and commitment toward advancing social causes, particularly child welfare and public health.   Remuneration:   Compensation will be competitive and is negotiable based on the candidate’s experience and capabilities.
