Resident Nurse

4. Responsibilities & Outcomes

The Resident Nurse will:

• Provide

  first aid and primary healthcare

  for students and staff.
• Manage the

  school infirmary

  , including medical supplies and records.
• Coordinate with local hospitals/doctors for emergencies and referrals.
• Maintain

  health records and reporting systems

  as per school policy.
• Lead

  health awareness and hygiene sessions

  for students.
• Ensure compliance with

  safety and health protocols

  (vaccinations, sanitation, etc.).
• If acting as

  Warden

  : support hostel supervision, student well-being, discipline, and pastoral care in alignment with Plenum’s culture.

Expected outcomes:

• Reliable, timely healthcare for students/staff.
• Proper medical record-keeping and compliance.
• Healthy, safe hostel environment (if Warden duties are included).
• Active contribution to Plenum’s

5. Qualifications & Skills

• Degree/Diploma in Nursing (GNM/B.Sc Nursing or equivalent).
• Valid registration with Nursing Council.
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience, ideally in a school, hostel, or pediatric setting.
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively in medical emergencies.
• Empathy, patience, and good communication skills with children and adolescents.
• Willingness to live on campus and contribute to boarding school life.
• Prior warden/hostel experience a plus.

• Salary Range:

  ₹30K – ₹45K per month
