Job Description

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Department of Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture, IIT Kharagpur, for a Research Project Staff. The individual in this position will contribute to ongoing research projects by conducting mathematical/ numerical model studies for coastal hydrodynamics, breakwater layout optimisation, sediment transport studies, and other related areas.

Qualifications

Proficiency in conducting research, data analysis, and experiment design.
Strong technical writing, reporting, and documentation skills.
Collaborative skills to work effectively with team members, and oral communication skills to present research findings.
BE in Civil Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or other relevant departments with
a CGPA
of
≥ 6.5
.
MTech/ MS in
Ocean Engineering / Coastal Engineering / Water Resources Engineering
is desirable
Proficiency in Mike 21, Delft 3D, Matlab, Python and tools for research, analysis, and project management.
Strong organisational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities.
The candidate may be considered for PhD based on performance
