Research Chemist

Role Overview: As a Research Chemist at Maxpro, your main responsibility will be to understand the Chemistry of existing processes and generate ideas for cost reduction. You will conduct lab experiments to ensure the quality and yield of the product is not affected and perform literature surveys for process improvement or alternate routes. Additionally, you will be responsible for the process development of new molecules, lab experiments for plant support, and performance trials of new raw materials. Your role will also involve ensuring the availability of glassware and chemicals in the lab to improve the performance of lab operations. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct lab experiments without compromising the quality and yield of the product - Perform literature surveys for process improvement and alternate routes - Develop processes for new molecules - Conduct lab experiments to support plant quality and safety improvements - Perform performance trials of new raw materials - Ensure 100% compliance with appropriate PPE usage in the lab and during plant trials - Provide refresher training on ERT/safety talks to colleagues - Report near misses related to safety abnormalities - Maintain 5S standards in the workplace - Ensure a safe workplace with the best housekeeping standards - Provide training and encourage colleagues to generate Kaizens and One Point Lessons for improvements - Improve the skill metrics of the lab Qualifications Required: - M.Sc in Organic Chemistry, if not found then B.Sc in Organic Chemistry can be considered (Note: The additional details of the company were not provided in the job description.)
