You will be responsible for researching the Chemistry of existing processes at Maxpro to generate ideas for cost reduction. This will involve conducting lab experiments to ensure that the quality and yield of the product are not affected. Additionally, you will be required to conduct literature surveys for process improvement or alternate routes, as well as develop new molecules and perform lab experiments to support plant operations for quality and safety enhancement. Your duties will also include conducting performance trials of new raw materials, ensuring the availability of glassware and chemicals in the lab, and improving the overall performance of lab operations. It is crucial to adhere to 100% compliance in using appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while working in the lab and during plant trials. Furthermore, you will need to provide refresher training on Emergency Response Team (ERT) procedures and safety talks to your colleagues. Reporting any near misses related to safety abnormalities, whether unsafe conditions or acts, is a key responsibility. Maintaining 5S standards, ensuring a safe workplace with excellent housekeeping standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through generating Kaizens and One Point Lessons are essential tasks. You will also be responsible for enhancing the skill metrics of the lab. The ideal candidate will have an M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry. However, if a suitable candidate with this qualification is not found, candidates with a B.Sc. in Organic Chemistry will also be considered. This is a full-time position that requires in-person work at the designated location.,
