Research Associate I

We are inviting applications for a Research Associate-I (RA-I) position in the area of Synthetic Biology and Systems Biology at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification

• PhD in Biotechnology, Biosciences, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biophysics, or a related discipline

OR

• MSc/MTech/ME in a relevant discipline with at least three years of research experience (post MSc/MTech/ME) and at least one SCI-indexed publication

Desirable Experience

• Strong background in molecular biology and synthetic biology

• Experience in gene cloning, plasmid construction, mutagenesis, and regulatory sequence design

• Hands-on experience with bacterial or mammalian cell culture and reporter-based characterization

• Familiarity with qPCR, Western blotting, ELISA, microscopy

• Experience in DNA/RNA workflows, sequencing, and plasmid copy-number determination

• Working knowledge of biochemical assays and data analysis
