Research Associate / Assistant Scientist

Job Summary -
We are seeking a detail-oriented Plant Biotechnologist to join our Research & Development team.The role focuses on applying advanced plant tissue culture and molecular biology techniques to support crop improvement programs. The role will contribute in developing innovative solutions that enhance crop performance, resilience, and productivity, playing a key role in driving research initiatives aligned with organizational goals.

Roles & Responsibilities –
(Tissue culture)

• Development of protocols for Double Haploid production.
• Embryo rescue, protoplast culture and other related techniques.
• Optimization of media, growth conditions, hardening of plants etc.
• Preparation of media, buffers, autoclaving etc.

(Molecular Biology)

• DNA/RNA extraction from plant tissues.
• PCR and RealTime PCR.
• Gel electrophoresis and analysis.
• Marker assisted breeding through SSR and SNP marker analysis.
• DNA fingerprinting for the purity analysis of commercial.
• Application of modern breeding technology tools and techniques.
• Data analysis and interpretation of research data and preparation of reports.
• Maintaining stocks of consumables, chemicals and reagents, upkeep of lab instruments and general
• Maintenance of the Lab etc.
