Research Associate / Assistant Scientist

As a Plant Biotechnologist in the Research & Development team, your main focus will be on applying advanced plant tissue culture and molecular biology techniques to support crop improvement programs. Your role will involve developing innovative solutions to enhance crop performance, resilience, and productivity, aligning with the organizational goals. Your key responsibilities will include: - Development of protocols for Double Haploid production - Conducting Embryo rescue, protoplast culture, and other related techniques - Optimizing media, growth conditions, and hardening of plants - Preparing media, buffers, and autoclaving - Performing DNA/RNA extraction from plant tissues - Conducting PCR and RealTime PCR - Running Gel electrophoresis and analysis - Utilizing Marker assisted breeding through SSR and SNP marker analysis - Conducting DNA fingerprinting for purity analysis of commercial crops - Applying modern breeding technology tools and techniques - Analyzing and interpreting research data, and preparing reports - Maintaining stocks of consumables, chemicals, reagents, lab instruments, and general lab maintenance Qualification Required: - Bachelor of Science in Agriculture - Master of Science in Biotechnology - Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Biology & Biotechnology If you are looking for a challenging role that allows you to contribute to crop improvement programs and drive research initiatives, this position in Raipur (Chhattisgarh) with a competitive salary package as per industry standards could be the perfect fit for you.,
