Job Title: Research and Development Engineer (Lighting Product)

Reporting to: Operational Manger

Location: Narhe, Pune, Maharashtra

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

As an R&D Engineer, you will work on developing innovative lighting products that meet market needs and industry standards. This role offers the opportunity to learn, experiment, and bring new ideas to life while contributing to Nexsels vision of shaping the future of horticulture lighting. Responsibilities and Duties

• Design and develop new lighting products, including models up to

  1000 watts

  capacity.
• Create mechanical designs for lighting products and ensure durability, efficiency, and ease of manufacturing.
• Develop lighting fixtures up to

  IP68 rating

  , ensuring performance in demanding environments.
• Select appropriate components such as connectors, lenses, power supplies, and accessories for product development.
• Guide and support the production team during product prototyping and manufacturing.
• Manage product certifications and compliance with national and international standards.
• Select and design suitable heat sinks for both new and existing luminaires.
• Transform design concepts into working prototypes and market-ready products.
• Upgrade and modify existing products to meet international standards and improve performance

Qualifications and Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• BE in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering

  (or equivalent).
• Minimum

  2 years of experience

  in LED lighting product design and development.
• Proven track record in developing higher wattage luminaires and innovative product designs.
• Strong knowledge of connectors, lenses, power supplies, and lighting fixtures.
• Hands-on experience with thermal management and heat sink design.
• Familiarity with certification processes for lighting products.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in developing lighting products up to IP68 rating.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools for mechanical and product design.
• Understanding of international standards for lighting products.
• Strong problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (production, testing, and sales).

Working Conditions

• This is a

  full-time, office-based role

  located at Narhe, Pune.
• Standard working hours apply, with occasional extended hours during project deadlines.
• Minimal travel may be required for vendor visits, product testing, or certification purposes.

Compensation and Benefits

• Freshers:

  15,000 20,000 per month

• Experienced candidates:

  25,000 35,000 per month

• Incentives:

  Performance-based incentives on successful product development
