Role & responsibilities

• Research electronic components and design new products (transformers) to meet evolving market needs.
• Support the complete R&D project lifecycle concept, design, prototyping, validation, and production ensuring functionality, feasibility, quality, manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and timely completion.
• Present design concepts and prototypes clearly to team members, managers, and stakeholders.
• Finalize designs and deliverables for smooth handover to relevant departments.
• Prepare documentation such as bill of materials (BOM), material specifications, and process documents.
• Evaluate processes, propose design improvements, and coordinate with the Global R&D team.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in

  Engineering or Technology (Electrical/Electronics)

  from a recognized university/institution.
• 36 years of relevant product design experience in industry.
• Strong foundation in

  electronics fundamentals and principles

  , with passion for product design.
• Knowledge of

  AutoCAD Electrical

  , schematic capture/layout design tools, and electronics measurement instruments (oscilloscopes, data loggers).
• Familiarity with

  regulatory compliance (EMC)

  , product safety, and environmental testing (advantageous).
• Experience with

  DFMEA and PFMEA

  methodologies.
• Ability to balance

  cost vs. performance trade-offs

  in design decisions.
• Creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in

  English communication

  (verbal & written).
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with

  Microsoft Office Suite

  .
