Remote Sensing Trainee

Immediate requirements for people having skills in SNAP, QGIS, Google Earth Pro, Google Earth Engine, and DSSAT. The work Location will be Pune (Maharashtra). We are looking for multi-skilled candidates for the position of Remote Sensing Trainee. For this position, the candidate needs to know about the vegetation indices (NDVI, NDRE, LSWI, GNDVI, FAPAR & VVVH) in remote sensing and those indices and polarization can be used for different types of applications.

For example-: Crop loss assessment, Drought monitoring, flood zone detection, Crop Yield estimation.

Responsibilities:

·       Crop Wise Sowing Area estimation, Crop loss assessment, Drought monitoring, flood zone detection, Crop Yield estimation.

·       Producing maps showing the spatial distribution of various agricultural crops and other features.

·       Performing data munging and cleaning to convert data into its desired form.

·       Managing a digital library of geographic maps in various file types.

Educational Qualification:

·       Must be a graduate/post-graduate in Agriculture, Agriculture Engineering, Geography, or equivalent.

·       Post Graduate diploma/degree in Remote Sensing & GIS applications in agriculture.
