Remote Pilot – Fixed-Wing UAV

At LAT Aerospace, we're building a clean-sheet Short Take-Off and Landing (STOL) aircraft to unlock regional air mobility across India. As part of our journey, we’re building and flying scaled UAVs to validate early systems and engineering workflows.

Remote Pilot with hands-on experience flying fixed-wing UAVs

What you’ll do

• Plan and execute flight tests for fixed-wing UAVs across developmental and validation phases. 

• Conduct pre-flight checks, coordinate flight airspace, and ensure all safety procedures are followed.

• Collaborate with avionics, propulsion, and control teams to support mission-specific requirements.

• Log and analyse flight performance data, identifying failure points and recommending improvements.

• Calibrate and troubleshoot onboard systems (autopilot, telemetry, communication links, etc.)

• Maintain UAVs and ground control stations in flight-ready condition, and oversee repairs as needed.

• Ensure compliance with DGCA/UAS 2.0 guidelines or equivalent regulatory frameworks.

• Train new team members on standard operating procedures, mission briefings, and flight safety.

What we're looking for

• 2–3 years of hands-on experience operating fixed-wing UAVs (manual + autopilot modes).

• Experience with platforms >5kg MTOW preferred.

• Strong understanding of flight dynamics, mission planning, and GCS (Ground Control Station) software (e.g., QGroundControl, Mission Planner, etc.)

• Comfortable operating in field test environments with minimal supervision.

• Knowledge of DGCA/UAS 2.0 and relevant safety protocols.

• Bonus: exposure to integration of new payloads or avionics into UAV systems.
